The temple grounds of Nanzen-ji (南禅寺) and Eikando (永観堂) is another of Kyoto’s most popular autumn colors (koyo) spots.
They are located at the base of Kyoto’s forested Higashiyama mountains.
A good time to see autumn leaves is mid-November.
